The South Carolina Joint Council on Children and Adolescents was one of the sponsors of the conference Dominic Carter was the keynote at, held June 14th, 2018 in Columbia. Dominic received a standing ovation, and you can click here to see some of the photos.
Dominic salutes the goals of the council, which reads:
The South Carolina Joint Council on Children and Adolescents strives to meet the changing needs of children, adolescents, and their families through a collaborative effort in the development of a system of care for the efficient delivery of services offered by government and private child serving organizations. Areas of interest include behavioral and physical health, mental health, substance use, developmental delays, child protection and welfare, and juvenile justice.
The welcome was from the State Director of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, Mr. John H. Magill, and there was a lovely musical performance right before Dominic spoke, done by Matt Hallman. Family Connection of South Carolina was also a major sponsor of the event.

- Recovering from the Shame, the Guilt, and the Embarrassment (Done by Dominic Carter)
